Ford Motor Company History Henry Ford is an engineer in Detroit, Michigan, and he has an idea. By 1902, Ford repeatedly tried to produce gasoline cars, but due to insufficient funds he noticed his attempt was in vain. Ford and Alexander T. Malcomsson talked about the possibility of making a car. Malikom, a family friend and wealthy coal merchant did not initially want, but eventually agreed with Ford's opinion and decided to provide financial support to Ford through his efforts.

The Ford Motor Company Fund (Ford Fund, not part of Ford Fund) in Dearborn, Michigan is a charitable organization of Ford Motor Company. The Ford Foundation was founded in 1949 by Henry Ford II and is a non-profit company funded by Ford Motor Company. In 2016, the Ford Foundation donated 58.9 million dollars to various projects with emphasis on education, driving safety and community building. An important plan for the Ford Foundation is the driver safety program for young people developed jointly with Ford Driving Skills Life Program, Governor's Traffic Safety Association and safety experts. Ford volunteer team allows Ford employees and retirees to sign up volunteers in over 40 countries to participate in local projects
