"For Colored Girls" supervised by Tyler Perry is based on Choreopoem Ntozake Shange nominated for Tony Award. The controversy over Perry's movies is causing concern about the original work. In this article, I am trying to understand why Shange has a strong influence on her writers and today's writers.
