Victim supporters are experts trained to support crime victims. The advocate provides information, emotional support, helps to discover resources, and fills in the documents for the victims. Sometimes supporters go with the victim to the courtroom. Advocates can also contact organizations such as criminal justice and social welfare services to provide victims with aid and information. Some people support employees' crisis hotlines, manage support groups, and face-to-face consultation. Supporters of victims are also called victim service providers, victim / witness coordinators, or victim / witness experts.
People defending the victim are trained to support crime victims. They provide emotional support, provide victim rights information, help finding the resources they need, and help fill out forms related to crime victims. Our supporters often accompany the victims and their families through criminal justice procedures. Defenders cooperate with other organizations such as criminal justice and social welfare organizations to provide aid and information to victims of our services. Our supporters have a 24 hour crisis hotline. The responsibility of the victim defender varies from case to case
Supporters of victims are liaison between crime victims and criminal courts. The advocate focuses mainly on the victim and advises the victim on what to do when the criminal justice system functions through the procedure. Victims need to understand their legal rights and understand what happens next in their affair. The victim's defense activity is very beneficial. Advocates of victims are adopted by police stations, public prosecutors offices, criminal courts, and non-profit organizations. In addition to those working in nonprofit organizations, supporters are chosen through regular government recruitment processes. Given sensitive confidential information that victim supporters obtain in their daily work, these positions may require a broader identity survey than most other government jobs.
