Bracha Goykadosh's "The Footprints on the Beach" is a story about friendship and hope, secret and confusion. Narrator Renakoen is a typical second grader, his only concern is school and friends. Malka Koenig is one of Rena's closest friends, but after 11th grade her life has changed dramatically and her friendship circle is also affected by change.
