Food Bank for Westchester gets new name, keeps same mission

ELMSFORD - For the past 30 years Westchester Food Bank has collected food and distributed it to the county's hungry people.

Nonprofit organizations offered a nutritious meal last year to 200,000 people. From the 30,000 sq. Ft. Elmsford warehouse, the group provides 95% of all foods used in West Chester's day care and nutrition program, soup kitchen, pantry and shelter.

Now they will accept donations, classify, package and deliver food, and continue to raise awareness of the hunger problem in one of the country's richest countries - they will only work with different names
