When defining the purpose of the course, pay attention to the students' learning. One way to set these goals is to decide what students should learn about content, cognitive development, and personal development. Make it as specific as possible so that the goal defines learning in a measurable way. Please consider the following questions. Benjamin Bloom's Educational Goal Taxonomy (1956) provides a useful framework for identifying observable and measurable skills that students want to let them learn. As shown in the table below, Bloom identifies six cognitive processes, ranking in order of knowledge, understanding, application, analysis, integration and evaluation as complexity increases.
