Flooding threat to continue in southern India, Sri Lanka this week

Changes in weather patterns will lead to heavy rain in Sri Lanka and in southern India earlier this week.

In the past two weeks most of the weather in this area was dry, but the majority of shower and thunderstorms westwardly watching in the Bay of Bengal brings about recovery of rainfall.

On Monday and Tuesday, the local heavy rain spreads to Tamil Nadu and Kerala states, raising the risk of flooding. All regions in southern India are exposed to heavy rain, but the southern coastal areas are most likely to flood.
