Each of the other research methods described has been used for many studies. Nature observation is a common research method used by psychologists and other social scientists. This method involves observing the subject in the natural environment. This type of research is often used in situations where laboratory research is unlikely to be costly or is unlikely to unduly affect the subject's behavior.

Abstract: DNA barcodes are a relatively new approach designed to use standardized DNA sequences as labels to provide rapid, accurate and automated species identification. Identifying species in this manner is typically accomplished by searching for a short DNA sequence "barcode" from the standard part of the genome of a particular species. Experiments were carried out using five barcode regions including ndhJ, rpoC1, rpoB, YCF5 and rbcL to identify three onion species. The results show that A. ampeloprasum persicum is the only identified species. The barcode area of YCF 5 has the highest SRSP of 93.33%. The highest interspecies diversity and intraspecific differentiation were observed in the ndhJ region, respectively, 0.8% and 0.4%, which is the most abundant barcode region in species identification.
