Five Aspects of Suppression The following article is an excerpt from Iris Young's "five-sided suppression". This article was originally edited by Lisa Heldke and Peg O'Connor in the "Suppression, Privilege and Resistance" chapter (McGraw Hill, Boston, 2004). Also, quoted in the chapter titled "Paper," Paul Freire, translated by Donald Makedo's author of the book (publication) "Educational Politics," the level of historical conditions and consciousness " "Culture of Silence": Bergi & Garvey, London, 1921)
Young defines five different features in oppression. These features are called five aspects of repression, such as exploitation, alienation, helplessness, cultural imperialism, violence and so on. Below, the five aspects of oppression are applied to treat fat people. If existing literature is used to support all aspects of oppression, scale-up is suppressed and it is considered worth considering by other repressive systems. The Oxford English Dictionary defines exploitation as "use or acts or facts of something in an unfair or unethical way, for use for others' purposes". Yang did not define exploitation narrowly. She is investigating out-of-class suppression beyond Marxist ideology. She applies exploitation to a wider range of people, including women, workers, and all ethnic people.
Other statements about oppression make it possible for oppression to take many forms and are intended to reject forms as more fundamental or more basic forms than others. For example, Iris Young described five oppression of repression: exploitation, marginalization, helplessness, cultural imperialism, and organizational violence (Young 1980). Other seems to be added to the list. For example, gender discrimination and racist suppression will appear in different ways depending on the situation. For example, in some cases through organizational violence, in other cases through economic exploitation. However, recognizing this is not enough. A monauralist like MacKinnon can give so much. It is compatible with multiple approaches for finding women's social position and structural interpretation patterns within social contexts and social context, but in doing so it is very important for historical and cultural differences It must be sensitive to.
