"I belong to a new lower class, which is no longer affected by social status and skin color. No, we are discriminating against science now." - Vincent. The previous statement was made by the main character Vincent in a future movie called Gata. In the movie Gattaca we encourage parents with children to go to geneticists to help select future children. The reason is to avoid the possibility of genetic genetic diseases of children such as heart disease, cystic fibrosis, hemophilia etc.

Evolution is the time course of the population's gene pool, which can be caused by several factors. Three mechanisms add new alleles to the gene pool: mutations, recombination, and gene flow. Two mechanisms eliminate alleles, genetic drift and natural selection. Drift randomly deletes alleles from the gene pool. Choose to remove harmful alleles from the gene pool. The amount of genetic variation found in a population is the balance of the effects of these mechanisms. Natural selection can also increase the frequency of alleles. The choice to remove harmful alleles is called negative selection. The choice to increase the frequency of useful alleles is called positive, or sometimes positive Darwinian selection. New alleles may also drift very frequently. However, as the frequency of each generation of alleles is random, no one will ever say positive or negative drift.

Creatures going out of the population can also change the frequency of genes. Removal of genes from the gene pool reduces the appearance of specific alleles and changes their frequency in the gene pool. Immigrants may bring genetic variation to the population and may help people adapt to changes in the environment. However, immigrants also make it more difficult to adapt optimally in a stable environment. Gene transfer (gene outflow population) can adapt to the local environment, but it can also lead to loss of genetic diversity and possible extinction

When a new genetic variation is introduced into our gene pool through a mutation we can continue adapting to the changing situation on the earth. However, the entire human gene pool consists of many small gene banks, each corresponding to a particular population. Movement of people on the planet mixes these populations and enables genes to move back and forth between gene banks. Let's start with disadvantages. As we spread all over the world, like all species, the human community adapted to the local environment. However, the rapid flow of people between regions and the mixture of people with distinctive features means that today's people are more likely to live in an environment that is not physiologically suitable.
