First Day of Class Meeting Drop Policy

In order to confirm the registration, students must participate in all courses registered on the first day of the course.

A teacher can give up on a student who is not in the course. Therefore, students must check their schedule on-line before the last day to confirm that their schedule is correct. Even if you do not attend the first day, if the course is still on the student's schedule, the student must withdraw from the online to delete the course during the withdrawal.

A teacher wanting to give up the student can send an e - mail to firstdaydrops@bates.edu. Please include department / plan and course number in subject

Students are ultimately responsible for ensuring that their schedule is correct. Also, if there is any contradiction, please access the registry and academic system office immediately.

The UN Foundation obliges all students to participate in the first class of courses to be enrolled. If the student did not attend the first class conference, the student may leave the course. In the case of correspondence courses, all students must log in to Blackboard and prove their participation within the first 5 days of the course. It may be withdrawn from 'the addition / deletion end' or from the start schedule of the course. . When registering for General Education Writing Course, you need to attend meetings in each class and schedule meetings and online events to meet the objectives of all courses. Absence will adversely affect the performance of the classroom. In the liberal educational writing course policy, all students are required to participate in at least 80% of class meetings, and if they miss more than 20% of scheduled courses or meetings, that student receives F.

If the student declines because he did not attend one of the first two meetings of the weekly meeting or the first meeting of the weekly meeting, the instructor submits the teacher initiated delivery form to the registration office. Students who have left the course because they were unable to attend meetings of these designated classes can re-register on the course on the tenth day of the semester with permission of the course (For the exact date of each course, Academic calendar).

Students are required to take the first class of all the courses they enroll. If the teacher chooses to prevent the students from attending on the first day of the class, the teacher will inform the students. After that, the student is responsible to the teacher about the class and all the work necessary for each course, including absent work due to absence. Teachers may need make-up and extra work when dealing with absence; they may reduce their final outcome of the course; or they may be advised to drop out not. In the absence of a classroom meeting or late attendance, student penalties may be imposed including course failures. You can not take unregistered courses.
