Firefighter Academy

Structural fire certificate is for students who wish to seek beginner level opportunities as firefighters. If you are interested, please contact the Fire Science and Technology School for information on application and enrollment.

The LSC-CyFair Firefighter Academy at Bucks Plus will begin last August 2019 and will last until the second semester, which will end the first week of May 2020 (about nine months).

You need to apply to Lone Star College - CyFair through the first online application process. Recruits are selected on a first come first serve basis. Slots are limited. Registration of fire fighters' association begins in early April 2019. The day course is limited to 35 students, and the evening class is limited to 30 students.

Once the consultant confirms that you are entitled to participate in the program, you are allowed to register for the next Fire Academy course. It is necessary to register for all the courses below.

The compulsory orientation will be held at 3 pm on June 3 or 6 pm and at 3 pm on July 8. You must attend at least one course before July 8th, otherwise you will be removed from the course.
