Ostia Antica Synagogue is one of the oldest synagogues in Europe and is one of the oldest synagogues in the world. A ruin of the 4th century synagogue was built in the ruins of the synagogue of the 1st century BC. Roman cemetery was discovered from 1961 to 1962. Near the courtyard at the entrance to the synagogue there is a marble table decorated with large ovens, storage tanks and candlesticks. It is considered to be a kitchen and / or restaurant.
