Introduction The purpose of this report is to conduct financial analysis of the state of the UK's three largest supermarket chains (Tesco plc, Morrison plc, and Sainsbury plc) using financial products such as horizontal and vertical analysis and ratio analysis. Calculations are based on the income statement and balance sheet of the three companies in the past two years (2008 and 2007).
