Remarks: Macstowell is a Varsity football player, who won Victoria Cross on the heroic act of Vimy Ridge on April 9, 1917. He was born in 1890 and died in 1960.

Sean Wendell McDowell was born in Ruckert, Quebec on September 16, 1890. He spent his early years in the Brockville area, was educated at the University of Blockville and participated in the 41st Blockville Rifle. He then joined the University of Toronto where he joined the Canadian officers training for four months as the Queen's own rifle army officer. After acquiring a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1914, he took part in the 38th (Ottawa) Canadian Infantry Battalion (now Ottawa's Cameron Highlander (Den Edinburgh's own long-term coaching)).

Charles 'first Saine was Mary' s back - up who established the Oldbuck family. However, the Oldbuck family later crossed the Brandywine river to create an independent land of Buckland, whose surname was familiar "Brandybuck". Their patriarchs later became Master of Backland. Oldbucks / Brandybucks departed and a new family was chosen to make its head chief Thain: the Took family (Pippin Took was the son of Thain, later became Thain).
