Figure skating requires strength, flexibility, cardiovascular health, balance, jumping ability, artistic expression, spiritual strength and financial resources
Falls cause a lot of skating injuries, but most damage is caused by overuse or inappropriate skate shoes. Many of these injuries are preventable
The following is a summary of common general skate injury and injury prevention tips at the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Stretch the boots on both sides. Please use silicone sleeve to protect ankle such as bunga pad. Use an annular filler around the ankle part, not just above the ankle part, to relieve stress.
Add a midline lace hook or alternating strap to keep the tongue neutral or slightly inside, or to keep the tongue from moving outward
Fix skating to include a soft closed cell foam to replace part of the upper part of the back of the shoe
Please participate in ice training to increase flexibility and strength. Please concentrate on the stability of the core to keep you strong at skating
Please warm your body and calm down after the skate course is over. Dynamic stretching and enhanced motion, cooling during preheating, static stretching
Please make sure your skate shoes are properly fit and broken. If the boots are too hard, movement is restricted and pressure is applied to the ankle, knee, waist, back.
Your skating is sharp, but please do not sharp up: because sharp skates tend to pull rather than slip, inexperienced skaters can hurt.
We limit the number of iterations when learning a new behavior. Hard landings put a great deal of pressure on the body and reduce the number of repeated impact landing repetitions to prevent injury
Remember that years of training and practice are necessary to safely carry out complex behaviors. Together with your skill level
Skater training too much, you get injured too much, skating becomes painful, there is not enough time to rest and restore. If you feel pain, please stop skating. Try rest, ice, compression, and rise to cope with tension and pain. If pain does not solve, please get medical attention.
