The World Health Organization defines women's reproductive organs as medical treatment involving the transformation of female reproductive organs by not giving any medical benefit to the victim. According to Oleinick (1998), about 87% of Egyptian Muslim women support this practice. The extent of this support may be due to various factors. These may be culture, religion or society. The purpose of this study was to investigate the condition of female genital resection as cultural practice in Egypt. Due to a variety of factors, the Egyptians can easily accept female genitomy. One is social demographic characteristics. These factors include factors such as age, income, religion, marital status, and income level. Muslim believes that female genitectomy is "makruma".
