This course plans to focus on how these ideas are related in terms of federalism, anti-federalism, and the size of the government. Originsarticle discusses the concept behind the role and scale of government in the history of our country. Students do not read articles by themselves, but the ideas presented in articles are executed through the course. Initially, students will receive mini courses on federalists and anti-Federalists. Then we link the ideas of federalism and anti-federalism to large and small governments. Students will then analyze the nine different political cartoons of the small group to address today's big and small government ideas. Students answer questions about their political cartoons tailored to the particular political manga they are using. Once the group has the opportunity to analyze the designated political manga, the course will discuss together how political cartoons and big and small government ideas exist between them.

Two factions, federalists and anti-federal parties developed during the constitutional debate in 1787 and 1788. Federalists support the powerful central government of the United States.
