The Federal Party was the first political party in the United States and was formed mainly by Treasury Secretary Alexander Hamilton during his tenure in the George Washington Cabinet. The Federal Party soon gained power in New England and the central urban area. People who oppose the Federal Party will be called Republicans or Jefferson. Under the guidance of Thomas Jefferson, Republicans oppose the idea of ​​supporting the agricultural economic infrastructure without reinforcing the economic foundation of the banking industry and strengthening the relationship with the UK. Republicans dominate the states in southern states and the politics of most agricultural land. Thomas Jefferson 's election in 1800 showed the success of the Democratic Republican Party and the decline of the Federal Party. After the war ended, the party's differences appeared to disappear in a short period of time. The collapse of the Federal Party seems to leave only the position of the Democratic Republican Party.
