Black's law is the most widely used legal dictionary in the United States. It was founded by Henry Campbell Black (1860-1927). This is a priority reference to the legal overview and the articles of the court opinion and quoted as the secondary legal authority of many US Supreme Court cases. The first edition was published in 1891, the second edition was published in 1910. The sixth and earlier versions of the book also provide case references for quoted terms. And some lawyers think that it is the most useful feature to provide a useful starting point for the main case.
