The heathen side of Beowulf has claimed the religious position of the epic "Beowulf" for centuries. People who put poetry on paper, known as Beowulf's poet, are devout Christians, but the actual poetry itself is a pagan. There are many clues in the epic that lead us to such conclusions, such as pagan symbols, numerous references to symbols of destiny. In addition, the core idea of revening on this verse also opposes Christian 's idea. This poem also contains many violations of the Ten Commandments, which proves that this story is not a Christian.
First of all, Beowulf showed great courage throughout the poem. When Beowulf fought against Grundel, he did not use weapons. Beowulf said, "... my hand / I will fight by myself ..." (267-8). Without fear, Beowulf entered a demilitarized battle to show him his appearance. Another point to show that he is brave is Beowulf is supposed to fight Dragon. He said, "... I did not know the fear ...." This indicates that Beowulf is not afraid of anything. Second, Beowulf is a very powerful person. An example of Beowulf's strength and courage is when he fought against the dragon. "Beowulf then stands up, is still brave and still strong" (650) shows this in a very simple way. When Beowulf battled Glendell with bare hands, the poet said Grundel had "never seen a man with a more difficult hand" (327). It reveals that Beowulf has a very strong grip. Another incident happened that showed his strength in the fight with Glendel's mother.
In order to cope with this intense and uncontrollable fear, the characters of the two literary works must propose solutions and remedial measures. This is a negative and negative feeling that brave feeling emerges, transcends fear. In Beowulf, the narrator expresses courage through the main character Beowulf. Beowulf can resist any of his own ways including Glendell. This personalization created a brave heroic role and brought new conflicts, fears and courage to the story. Likewise, in "seafarers", the narrator initially had a weak fear, but later the desire to go to the sea of the crew increased. This courage leads the reader to another opposite world as if to introduce a new narrator. Being brave is the sense that we can see in two verses, as anthropomorphic and personal achievement.
Being brave is an important aspect of Beowulf's hero character. Beowulf fought bravely with Glendell. Grandell is a monster that the Danish people are very afraid of. For the reasons stated in line 588, Beowulf did not have any armor or any form of protection to fight him. Beowulf proved to be more brave by attacking his ignorant monsters. As he had only heard of the sins of monsters like hell, he departed to the sea to help the famous leader, the king of warriors. Beowulf began to kill Grendel's mother, Beowulf's courage again appeared. She lives in the nest of the bottom of a scary lake, and no one will think about this lake. Beowu did not hesitate to enter the blood of blood. He traveled 24 hours before arriving at the hideout for the monster. So he met Glendell 's mother who brutally attacked him.
