Farmers of the late 1800's: Changing the Shape of American Politics

There was a period of political change between 1870 and 1900. This country once removed war and unified. However, in the past few decades, American farmers have made it harder to live. Crops such as cotton and wheat, which were cash crops of agricultural crops, were sold cheaply, and farmers had little benefit. Improvements in transportation make it easier and cheaper for large competitors to sell, making American farmers harder to sell crops.
