W.H. Oden 's fable' Unknown citizen 'records the lives of anonymous civilians who are tired of the central government as saints. In the overall poem, the main features of this poem have been admired by the normal actions of various agencies and organizations likely to be created by the state, and it has thoroughly investigated his life. Compliance and active participation of unknown citizens has been made beautiful according to the wish of the state.

The "Unknown Citizen" spokesperson is a face-minded official senior official who ties a man's life report to those who ask if the man is happy and free. This poem has a very ironic voice, sometimes ironically. The speaker expressed the man as "model citizen" and "in old-fashioned words in modern sense" he was a "wise man". When asked if the person is "free and happy", the speaker replied, "This question is ridiculous, what is the problem?" Ironically, the behavior of officials in exploring the private life of men is that it is absurd. The official believes that everything he knows about this guy's life is fake. Ironically, officials do not understand this person's life. He is the only clerk to know. He does not know the male's personal feelings. And that person's personal feeling determines whether he is happy or not.
