FAB Sweets Limited is a high-quality confectionery manufacturer. Located in the northern part of England, the company is a medium-sized, family run, partially confectionery confectionery maker that is highly successful. The case study will be held in the HB department, which is the most problematic department in the factory. In this department, we manufacture and package over 40 kinds of hard candies using mass production system. There are 37 employees in this department, most of whom are skilled employees. It is organized in two adjacent areas. One is male production, one is 25 quantities and the other is female package. The number is 12. The two departments are separated by physical barriers and supervised by the responsible person and the supervisor. The director is also responsible for overseeing both departments and must report to the plant manager.
This research reviews the case of candy producer FAB Sweet. The company currently faces internal and interpersonal issues reflecting its overall outcome. These problems and their causes are evaluated in a theoretical context, focusing on management philosophies such as Taylorism, bureaucracy, occupation enhancement, organizational culture and so on. These problems are explained in part A. In Part B, we prepare a management action plan for organizational development by recommending several steps and actions based on the theoretical literature.
