This poem begins with the black speaking to the tiger and asking someone who produces this terrible image. He explained the strength of the eyes of the tiger by mentioning "the fire of your eyes". Black wants to know who reverses the tiger's muscles and gives them heart. He also asked about the function of the tiger's brain. Black wants to know if the tiger's producer is proud of his work when completed. In the last section, he repeated the speech to the tiger just like in the first quarter. In the whole poem, black only questions, he did not really answer them. This provides space for our own interpretation.
