Exploring the 1960’s: Time Capsule

In the 1960s, many events changed the way the US operates. Several situations have had a major impact on the practices that existed since the beginning of our country. Some of these events were the civil rights movement, the Vietnam War, the "flower rights" campaign, and the first time we landed on the moon. The Civil Rights Movement has a calendar for the events of the 1940s (including the events still occurring today). In the 1960s, the citizenship of black Americans was greatly improved.

Many planets in the solar system have not been explored in the 1970s and 1960s. The nearest friends on Earth are Venus and Mars. This is the first two planets that came in the mid 1960's. In the 20th century, almost every planet visited except cold and distant planet Pluto. Pluto is not yet visited because it is the ninth planet of the sun. Unfortunately, Mercury is not as frequent as any other planet. A spacecraft visited this far planet. One of American detectors was blown by Mercury. On March 29, 1974, sailor 10 blew Mercury. The returned picture looks like the moon on the earth. As the spacecraft fly, it also gives scientists better understanding of the size of Mercury. There were two other trips to Mercury in March 1975 and September 1974. A total of 3 flights of Mariner 10 covered a 57% planet (in the picture)

After a series of failures, the thirteenth Discoverer / Corona mission succeeded. The satellite was launched in August 1960 and the return capsule was recovered from orbit for the first time. A week later, Discoverer - 14 put the camera in orbit and returned capsules containing photos of the first US Soviet territory taken from outer space. The first picture of the Soviet military site taken from a spaceship shows the Siberian Air Force Base of Mys Shmidta near the Chukchi Sea. It shows an object of about 12 meters (40 feet) so that it can be seen from a height of over 160 kilometers (100 miles). The Soviet territory covered by the movie retrieved from Discoverer - 14 exceeds the combination of all previous U - 2 aircraft.

This movie was carefully researched and produced and can be played almost like a time capsule. As Mad Men regained the 1960s, The Witch rebuilt the Puritan colonists into the most subtle details. These characters speak in a thick Yorkshire style and use grammar and vocabulary of the 17th century. Furthermore, Puritan's obsession with religious integration under the reform of religious doctrine plays a central role in the film and dominates the character's life. William and his family were expelled in some of the offenses committed by the village religious community and could be gathered from the conversation during the opening ceremony. They prayed before work on the farm day, prayed before every meal, and led children to the teachings of Calvinist. The centrality of their religious beliefs is important to understand their world and the theme in the movie.
