Exploring Antarctica on Antarctica Antarctica is the fifth continent of the seven continents. It is located on the South Pole and is located almost entirely in the south part (Antarctic Region) at 66 degrees 30 minutes south latitude. This is a very rough circle with the long arm of the Antarctic Peninsula spreading to South America. There are two big dimples, Ross and Weddell and their ice shelves. Another recent land is South America 600 m / 1000 km, the world's most devastated sea - Drake Passage, Australia 1550 m / 2500 km, South Africa 2500 m / 4000 km.
Finally, my favorite is an interview with famous Admiral Richard Bird. Admiral Bird is a brave explorer and the first person to explore Antarctica. According to Mr. Bird, "There are only regions in the world that are as big as the USA, humans have never seen this area, and this region is beyond the polar region opposite the South Pole of Central America" (INODEUX ). Both Flat Earthers and Hollow Earthers used this interview because it means that Antarctica is a border instead of a continent. This is a popular map based on this idea.
Shackleton was a famous British explorer in the early 20th century. After two explorations to Antarctica, by 1914 Shackleton decided he would try the most ambitious adventure: from the south to the sea, from one coast to the other. At that time, it had never been done before and it is generally considered impossible. By January 1915, we were completely trapped in the drift ice ocean. All of their plans disappeared soon. Originally ambitious exploration, it quickly became a desperate struggle for survival. They are obliged to abandon the original plan, they are fighting the Arctic for the next two years and fighting for their lives. After all, after the spectacular 17 day high sea crossing the lifeboat, Shackleton found help, borrowed a new ship, rescued his men and made everyone go home.
Only one hundred years ago, Sir Ernest Shackleton had problems. This experienced polar explorer sailed toward Antarctica and hiked through the mainland. But before he got there, his boat - endurance - was trapped in the ice. Several weeks have passed, and the prospects for Shackleton and his staff are very serious. When the ice is pushed in, the tree breaks and cracks. The winter of the Southern Hemisphere has not yet begun. I have done wonderful things about Shackleton's expedition all the time. However, it was only when my own career developed, that I began to understand the similarities between being an entrepreneur and explorer. Of course, entrepreneurs seldom endanger their lives and limbs, but they depend heavily on life. The terrain is unknown, it is a landscape of unknown pepper. At a deeper level, I think there is more than that - entrepreneurs like explorers will help us draw the way forward
