Exploration of How Males are Presented in Victorian Short Stories

Explore how Victorian short story men show that Charles Dickens is a great writer who wrote the historical problems of the 18th century related to the Victorian background. He wrote the following short stories and novels, captains of murderers, Sykes and Nancy, and a wonderful future. In these stories, I compare and contrast three comparable characters. These characters are the murderer's captain (from the murderer's captain), Sykes (from Sykes and Nancy), and finally Magvitch (from the great future).

The purpose of this paper is to discuss how the three Victorian writers use the characteristics of Gothic Horror to create an ominous prophetic atmosphere in short stories. The three stories that I would like to explore are yellow wallpaper, red room and monkey's feet. The red room uses the characteristics of the most traditional Gothic horror. It is set to "Lorraine Castle" and it is exactly the same as Gothic horror because it was abandoned for 18 months. This is terrible, as there are ancient furniture, statues, many corridors, and corners where people can hide behind the castle.

In addition to the five themes of democracy, gender, culture, empire, industrialization, the sixth theme of Victorian Gothic also outlines the Victorian era. This new theme is published in Elizabeth Gaskell's short story "The Old Nurse's Story" and Christina Rossetti's "Goblin Market". Both works show the general elements of Gothic literature, such as old houses, mysteries, horror, ghosts, fancy creatures, unknown things, oppression and so on. The background stories of both authors provide insight into the reason behind their work.

The short story is a popular type of Victorian era. A short story is usually printed on magazines and newspapers in a short chapter once a week and is very popular since then.
