Learning personality theory focuses on the interaction between individuals and their environment. Ontological Personality Theories Many theorists are trying to find out how the person's personality is shaped. The proposed theory raises interesting and effective ideas about personality, but there are others that took different approaches to their research. People-centered approach was established by Carl Rogers in the 1940s and 1950s. It provides a dynamic, process-oriented interpretation that explains the development and function of personality, the vulnerability to psychopathology, and the therapeutic growth of mental health (Rogers, 1959). According to human-centered theory, everyone has a tendency to achieve. Rogers (1951) explained it as the essential motivation of each living organism and to the fullest extent possible in their own unique living environment and possibilities (Gillon, 2007).
