Anti Hero: The protagonist of the story does not have the qualities normally given to traditional heroes or heroines. Anti-heroes are the hero, whose failure is usually used to make him or her human and to convey information about the reality of human existence. Prototype: "A kind of resonance or mythological importance that is found in different cultures and different historical periods, whether it is personality, place or situation" (Mickics 24). Prototypes differ from fables because they tend to refer to wider or more general (often called "stocks") character types, emotional nodes, and literary practices. Focusing on the prototype means that the reader is able to create a "universal truth" that writers can make about life, society, human interaction etc. based on what other writers and cultural participants say to them I can help you decide.
