Examining the Latino Population in the US through Two Films: Quinceañera and Spanglish

In the past two decades, the immigrant population of the United States has steadily increased. Immigrants have always accompanied myths and stereotypes. It caused strong support and opposition to immigration law and policy. For popular TV and movies, ordinary Americans are misunderstanding about immigrants living in this country. In order to get rid of these misunderstandings and universality in our country we need to identify them and eliminate them. This paper identifies and eliminates immigrant group misunderstandings, myths, stereotypes.

Studies of art in Latin America and Latin America are more important than ever.
