As a future educator, I tend to find myself confused about my students. I thought about the challenges I might have and the work I need to accomplish. I know that there is a lot of happy and challenging time to teach; I am aware of potential conflicts. I would like to focus on this article. I will dig deeper into the topics I do not understand and I would like to learn more about how to deal with it. My goal is to find information on how ELL, English learners, students, and classes help them.
Abstract: The purpose of this comprehension is to examine knowledge about the effectiveness of English learners in specific educational practices. Main question: What do we really know about effective teaching practice of elementary and secondary English learners? This problem was studied by implementing an exploratory meta-analysis of eight educational intervention studies and complementing the analysis with qualitative integration. If this study was targeted at K-8 English learners and was conducted between 1985 and 1997, that study was included. The first data source was 8 intervention studies and all experimental or quasi-experimental designs were used to measure the effect of teaching variables on student academic performance. The second data source is a study on the learning environment of learners of English, with emphasis on analysis and description of educational practice.
English learners (usually written in capital letters as English learners, or abbreviated as ELL) are those who learn English in addition to their mother tongue. The guidance and evaluation of students, their cultural background, and the attitudes of classroom teachers to ELL are considered to be a factor in achieving ELL students. Some of the proposed ways to support ELL include bringing their family culture into the classroom, bringing them into the language specific content field from the beginning, and incorporating literature into the learning program .
