In this article, I will explain the effectiveness of bilingual education program in improving the literacy skills of North Carolina kindergarten and first grade children. This is done by comparing the languages of the two literacy skill courses (English major and English - Spanish courses) and the effect on the development of the second language literacy skills. The English - Spanish course will follow the transitional bilingual education (TBE) course. My bilingual course teacher got bilingual education certificate.
Students who received a bilingual education program from kindergarten are in grade 5 and are fluent in English and native language (class), junior high school students are native language, English as a second language (ESL) course is fully fluent, 3 years I am fully fluent after the course. Students who are taking bilingual education programs from kindergartens are in grade 5 and are fully acquainted with reading and writing in English and their mother tongue (class), junior high school students who are fully acquainted with ESL's mother tongue are completely skilled I will.
