Boxing has two internationally recognized fame halls, the International Boxing Hall of Fame (IBHOF) and the World Boxing Hall of Fame (WBHF), IBFOF is a widely-known boxing hall of fame. In 2013, the boxing hall of fame was opened in Las Vegas, Nevada and was founded by former Mike Tyson Assistant Manager Steve Lot. WBHF was founded in 1980 by Everett L. Sanders. Since its inception, the WBHOF did not have a permanent place or museum, which has led to the recent IBHOF getting more publicity and fame. Well-known names in WBHF include Ricardo "Finito" Lopez, Gabriel "Flash" Elorde, Michael Carbajal, Khaosai Galaxy, Jack Johnson, Roberto DurĂ¡n, George Foreman, Ceferino Garcia, and Salvador Sanchez. The Boxing International Honorary Hall of Fame was inspired by a tribute to the American town of two local heroes in 1982.
