Euthanasia is Moral

A recent debate about active euthanasia, "killing" the terminal patient in the Netherlands raises the question whether euthanasia is immoral or simple human rights. The doctor seems to have no doubt. They vowed. The definition of euthanasia depends on whether it is active or passive. Active euthanasia is only allowed in the Netherlands. Passive euthanasia simply stops taking oral contraceptives or stops treatment.

In this article I will explain the moral tolerance and acceptability of passive euthanasia, especially with active euthanasia. The purpose of this paper is to demonstrate that passive euthanasia is morally acceptable under certain conditions. In particular, by defining terms of active and passive, spontaneous and involuntary euthanasia, we distinguish between various forms of euthanasia. Take a concrete example and consider various factors (such as patient's pain and suffering) that may affect euthanasia decision. Given Kant's and Aristotle's views, these arguments will be evaluated from the viewpoint of utilitarianism.

After briefly introducing the concept of euthanasia, this article outlines the basic ethical principles and then explains the four questions to deal with the main ethical dilemma arising from the euthanasia of newborns. Next, I will introduce official positions of American Medical Association (AMA) and American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP). Finally, it discusses the legal background and current legal status of neonatal euthanasia in the United States, and finally encourages society to clarify the legal status of neonatal euthanasia.
