Race has no biological significance. There is only one human being, a subspecies, a single distinctive feature, a characteristic, or even a genetic one, separating a certain "race" from another one. Race is not a biological concept, it is a social structure, it is a relatively modern structure. It was created to give Europeans with a bright-colored skin an advantage to make white races superior and inferior to anyone else. Through that history, the concept of race has successfully achieved this goal. Ancient civilizations practice slavery, but instead of classifying people according to race, they categorize according to other characteristics such as religion and status.
Ethnographic research began with interdisciplinary and comparative studies on ethnic, ethnic, racial and racial discrimination in the United States. Since the late 1960's ethnographic research scholars have studied social justice, identity, and resistance and emphasized the views and experiences of colored people.
