Over the past decade, the Afghan government has tackled problems that are problematic for the country, such as illegal drug trafficking, terrorism and violence. But now they have solved many years of problems among people, and recently took a whole new dimension. Ethnic conflict is a destructive factor that delivers people from generation to generation and often leads to different racial fighting, violence and indignation.
First, the problems of ethnic conflict and discrimination in Afghanistan have existed for many years in this culture. On the other hand, the Hazara is a minority of society, belongs to the peasant class, has been persecuted and extinct for centuries by Pashtun, a member of the national ruling class. "Afghanistan is a country of Pashto, it's always the usual thing, we are real Afghans, pure Afghans" (Hosseini, K. (The Kite Runner), 2003, p.22)
Afghanistan seems to be a crucible as certain ethnic customs are considered a national character of Afghanistan. The term Afghan was originally used to refer to the medieval Pashtun people, and the intention behind the founding of the Afghanistan nation was originally Pashtun State, but this policy changed later and I participated as an Afghanistan. In today's Afghanistan, cultural crucibles have been developed, various Afghan ethnic groups have created a new Afghan people consisting of the present Afghan people, finally replacing the old Pashtun identity representing Afghanistan There. Along with the development of the Persian language, many ethnic groups including non-tribal Pashtun people use Dali Persian as their new mother tongue. The battle of Pashto - Tajik is stagnating, but more moderate
Afghanistan is a gathering of various ethnic groups. When so many people live in the same area, tensions and conflicts inevitably occur. The Government of Afghanistan is ruled by Pashtun people. These governments tend to endorse and support the Pashtuns over people of other nationality. When the Pashtun people led the Taliban army to rule Afghanistan, the kite runner showed a similar situation. Through the role of Assef, Hosseini depicts Taliban's anti-Hazara feelings. They regard themselves as "real Afghans, pure Afghans" (Hosseini 52). Their motto is to exclude Afghanistan from flat hatara as they believe that they "polluted the motherland, Vatan, their dirty blood" (52). Their vision is "Afghanistan is Pashtun" (52). They repressed them a lot and persecuted them. In the novel, Assef is an important member of the organization and I am strongly convinced that "Afghanistan is a country of Pashtun" (52).
