This report describes how state and federal governments manage prisons at private companies, including prisons owned by state and federal governments, as well as prisons owned by private companies. Focus is a signature of an accommodation service contract at a security facility, not a low security community facility or an unsecured community facility. The focus is not limited to local prisons and immigration control facilities, but also to the facilities of adult offenders convicted.

Prison privatization means that state or federal government contracts with non-government third parties to oversee and manage prisons or prisons. Why does the government do this? Prisons are becoming increasingly difficult to manage. In the past 30 years, the national prison population of the United States has increased by 500%. However, the 1980s celebrated a new era of prison privatization. Along with the increase in drug warfare and sentencing practice, the overcrowding of prisons and the increase in expenses increases the prison population and the problem is more serious for local governments, states and federal governments. In response to this expanding criminal justice system, the interests of private companies are looking at expanding opportunities, so that involvement in the private sector's prisons ranges from simple service contracts to full control and operation of the entire prison I am transitioning.
