Ethics and Its Complications in the Nursing Field

For centuries, nurses have been given the title "caretaker". Unlike some physicians, nurses are actually taking care of patients, but do not necessarily have doctors; they both have different care methods. Yes, the doctor treats the disease, but nurses are equally important to support the treatment process. Most nurses can have the same education and knowledge as physicians, but the only thing people see is the acronym for name tags, CNA, LPN, RN. And PH.D. Of course, PH.D gains all trust and see how the nurse does not fully diagnose the patient.

The medical field is very broad and there are various fields with their own ethical standards and standards. American College of Nursing (ANA) provides nurses with ethical rules that must be followed. Nursing ethics is a field of applied ethics that focuses on activities in the field of nursing. Nursing ethics and medical ethics have many things in common, such as good deeds, fraud other than corrections, respect for autonomy. It can be distinguished by emphasizing human relations, human dignity, and collaborative care. Ethics of nursing tends to examine care ethics rather than "cure" by exploring the daily interactions between nurses and caregivers. Early research defining ethics in nursing care is paying more attention to the benefits of becoming an excellent nurse, historically including loyalty to doctors than nurse's behavior in nursing care.

Many nursing ethicists distinguish nursing ethics issues from the broader range of bioethical issues encountered by nurses. These nursing ethicists regard nursing ethics as an independent field because of their own ethical concerns in the relationship between nurses and patients, families, doctors and other experts. An important criterion for distinguishing between nursing ethics and bioethics is that the viewpoint of nursing is the main subject in the context of medical problems rather than medical point of view.
