The budget at the beginning of 1990 was about 1.57 million dollars, but it increased to about 18 million dollars in 2014.

The Human Genome Project began in 1988 with the aim of mapping 23 chromosomes that provide a human blueprint. The project has scientific and ethical goals. The scientific goal highlights the strengths of the genomics program, including identifying and curing diseases, enabling the selection of characteristics of their children and other opportunities. However, morally, this project has raised serious questions about genetic engineering ethics. In response to the medical opportunities and ethical dilemmas provided by the genome project, scientists need to develop a clear set of principles for genetic engineering and continue to educate the public on genome projects.

The concept of "superhuman" and "designer's baby" are two controversial concepts that cause religious and social problems. In addition, other uses in agriculture and genetic engineering foods may lead to social health problems. In my opinion, the Human Genome Project and its current and future applications have many social, ethical, religious and legal issues that directly affect the lives of many people.
