Ethical Principles in Clinical Mental Health

The field of clinical mental health is a big reward and a big responsibility. The counselor is responsible for providing a safe environment and open mind to promote a healthy treatment relationship. Most mental health consultants do not intentionally harm the clients, but good intentions are not enough to guarantee that no mistakes will occur. Ethical expectations and boundaries are governed by legal and professional regulations.

The Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CMHC) route is designed to help individuals work in public institutions, mainly focusing on client mental health issues. Candidates prepare for ethics, cultural ability, theoretical rationality, and clinical skills. 1. History and development of basic clinical mental health counseling b. Clinical Mental Health Advice EWU students are participating in a 94-hour program currently recognized as a mental health counseling program, but are designed to meet the CACREP certification criteria as a clinical mental health counseling program. We are seeking certification for this track to enter into force in March 2018. This course will acquire a master's degree and prepare clinical mental health advice for graduates such as mental health clinic, private counseling institution, drug abuse treatment center, parenting clinic, family counseling center and private clinic. This course meets the educational requirements of a mental health counselor's license approved by Washington.
