Ethical Issue in Sports

In recent years, ethical issues in sports are the main topics of discussion and media coverage. The main sports ethics controversy that has occurred in recent years is the Jerry Sandusky scandal at Penn State University. Former head coach Jo Paterno former Pennsylvania Assistant Coach slandered children in 2009, finally convicted in 2012. Many Penn State school officials knew what Sandusky was doing, but nevertheless it was covered, so the scandal broke out controversy.

This article outlines five themes related to gender equality and sports. For each topic, the author indicates the reason for choosing the overview and the theme. In addition, the author provides information on the importance of each topic on gender equality in sports, as well as related social, ethical or legal issues.
