Francis Bacon helped create new science and keep people away from Aristotle's teachings. He helped bring scientific methodology into place to learn from observations and experiments. However, psychiatrists are concerned about individual happiness. Protecting and serving the public as instructed by the courts creates an ethical dilemma for psychologists. The court forced them to take actions contrary to their professional beliefs and ethics. I believe that therapists can not handle customers well when they have to serve the public.
