On Tuesday, 11th September 2001, amazing things happened in America. Both the World Trade Center in New York and the Pentagon in Washington DC were shocked by the plane hijacked by terrorists. This terrible tragedy killed a lot of people and had a big impact on the whole country. American citizens are saddened, overflowing with fear and revenge for those who commit such horrible things. Just like many of my colleagues, I am confused about how such a powerful destruction can happen in a superpower without being discovered.
"The National Quilt" is a comment written by Anna Kundren, written after terrorist attacks on the United States on 11th September 2001. Kundlen uses a comparison of American metaphor and literature as a quilt to make diverse works. We complained of each other but she did not explain the problem that diversity might cause but acknowledged that the US has that prejudice and that as a country we can unify when we need it I commented on our identity.
"Author of the country" was voted by Newsweek after Anna Kundren, who won the Pulitzer Prize on September 11, 2001, attacked the United States. The premise behind this article is that diversity may cause many problems in the United States, but diversity is a tribute to US special products. How is America different from other countries? The United States is made up of many parts that seems not to be brought together, but in fact it is getting better due to the different parts, so it's a unique and wonderful idea. Quindlen expresses his own works using various parts using American metaphors and literary comparison of quilts.
This article was written one month after the September 11 attack. She finally said that we are "transforming" as a country. There is no doubt that we have changed society since September 11th. The problem is how to cope with the tragedy now. Who is the voice that stands out for "speaking for the masses" (she suggests it might be a rapper. Do you think that's it?)
