The marriage of the early 20th century which finds freedom by talking about one hour was comparable to the relationship between the Lord and the child. The role of women in marriage is minimal. The position of the woman is to take care of the children, clean the house, and do other "female" work in the house. In relationship with her husband, marriage has become a prison for many women; the only way to get rid of these bonds is the death of a husband. In Kate Chopin 's "One Hour Story", Mrs. Marado had lived for an hour, but experienced regeneration of freedom and death while losing freedom.
