Ernest Miller Hemingway was born on July 21, 1899 at Oak Park, Illinois, born Dr. Clarence Edmunds Hemingway and Dr Grace Holding. Ernest is the second child who enjoyed adventurous childhood in the northern forest of Michigan State, fishing with his father, hunting. He studied at Oak Park High School, and he was particularly good in English, especially in the class. He tried to swim with football, edited the school paper (Trapeze), and contributed something to school literature magazine (Tabula).
