Ernest Hemingway and the Art of Stoicism

Stoichism is more than just a Greek philosophy - it is a way of life. In general thought, the Stoic factions explain that they lack emotions. The stoic reasoning behind the lack of emotions and indifference is to prevent passion from blinding reasonable judgment. Indifference is not the only identifier of Stoic; other features include moderation and virtue. Stoichism teaches that happiness can only be obtained through virtue. In order to achieve indifference and virtue, we need to sacrifice some, that is where moderation works.

Ernest Hemingway's father, Father Clarence committed suicide, followed by Ernest Hemingway's own last shot, his two continues - brothers and sisters Ursula and Leicester's suicide, and his granddaughter Margue Hemingway Two generations after. His three brothers committed suicide, and his two sisters married crazy people, and one of them eventually vowed to commit suicide according to family tradition. Ludwig himself also fought suicide ideas like a famous pianist, one of his surviving brothers, despite losing his skills during the First World War.

When he did not participate in the art of fishing, he looked for a squirrel (Wilson) in the forest near the summer house.
