# After MeToo there were many questions about the progress of women in the workforce. But how do you achieve it?
A new report from Accenture, a global management consulting and professional services company, has several answers.
Accenture has identified 40 factors that affect women's development in the workplace as a result of more than 22,000 women and men surveying incumbent university education in 34 countries. The company then narrowed down the list to 14 "cultural drivers" who are more likely to affect the change.
Policies and programs include not only women but men taking a vacation after giving birth to their children, and providing work environments including large-scale remote work.
Ellyn Shook, Chief Executive Officer and Human Resources Officer of Accenture, said that many companies are now trying to enter more labor markets with more women going to senior management positions.
Shook, one of the authors of the report, says:
"When we travel, we are familiar with the necessity of a culture that supports equality in order to promote equality."
Other cultural factors listed in the report never require changing the appearance of employees to the culture of the company nor provide training to maintain the relevance of employee skills Discrimination And sexual harassment
One further surprising discovery is that corporate networks dedicated to women can help boost gender equality, but companies with women and men's networks can provide more support.
"It is important that the organization does not rotate women excessively, which is to create equal competition conditions," Shook said. "I think that a company that created many women's projects is good, but this survey found that women are not really useful in accelerating their progress"
According to the report, its strength lies in changing game rules. There are 40 factors that promote progress in all workplace environments around the world, there are 84 female managers per 100 male managers for today's 34 people.
According to Accenture, the possibility that a woman will be promoted to his / her boss will increase by 35%, and bosses and bosses etc. may increase fourfold (280%). If a woman earns 73 dollars per hundred dollars, then this salary gap, and then the income of today almost disappears. A woman earns 92 dollars as he earns 100 dollars.
But women are not the only advantage. According to the Accenture report, there are men who are worried that "when more women increase men" equality of workplace can make women successful at the expense of men.
Among the companies with 40 elements, the probability that men will be promoted to manager level has increased by 23%, and the probability of being promoted to senior managers or director positions has doubled.
"I am surprised that I am happy because if you can promote an equal culture, everyone will grow," Shuk says. "I never thought of seeing this."
Today, we live in a world that emphasizes the word "everyone is born equally". This seems to be wonderful, but further research concluded that this might not be realistic. Clearly, in recent decades women have made great progress in achieving equality; we still live in society where women's value is different from that of men. Through history and cultural socialization, society has learned that the society is right and wrong lifestyle. There are many examples of the right way to train men and women and in fact the role of gender.
Throughout history, women have experienced a lot of equality issues on gender. We saw this in different ways, as seen in women who can not vote, not being able to work in military, experiencing equality in the workplace, and in many other ways. Women are sociological minorities, but they are not minorities. In other words, women are a group of people affected by education, employment, wealth, political power and social position. - In the spring of 2012, the basketball team at Southern Mississippi University joined the NCAA tournament for the first time since 1991.
