When creating the environmental education curriculum, the teacher needs to identify three types of goals - facts, skills, and ratings for specific things. The goal of "appreciation" is a goal highlighted by the environmental class. Environmental curriculum emphasizes the importance of protecting the earth by creating environmental responsibility and evoking morality. From a protection point of view, we must decide what is important and we would like to take specific actions to protect what we think is important. That is why the teacher has to decide what to include in the environmental curriculum to create sensitivity and teach ethical issues.

Art based environmental education is a combination of art education and environmental education. This method has two basic functions. First, it refers to a specific environmental education beginning with an artistic approach. Unlike other types of outdoor or environmental education that provides an aesthetic experience space, AEE changes its format in a basic way. Art does not improve quality, it is icing of the cake; it is the starting point for finding ways people can connect with the environment. The second basic feature is that AEE is one of the first contemporary methods of combining artistic practice and environmental education, where practitioners are also trying to form an epistemology.
