As a general theme, the environment has become a political issue since the late 1960s. Human relations are related to various problems related to environmental politics including marine protection. Protection and conservation groups emerged in the latter half of 19 and 20 countries, the first signals of concern over environmental issues concerning political issues, reflecting the growing interest in protecting wildlife and natural resources.

The marine protection founded in 1972 is a small organization called the Delta Protection Association which was later renamed the Environment Education Center and Marine Protection Center and eventually became the current name. Thanks to their simple vision of fighting with their healthy seas, we decided to set up a famous international coastal cleanup project.

Public education on protection issues is the key to protecting the marine environment. In the world there are many marine protection groups focusing on encouraging funds for protection, laws and policies concerning general people and stakeholders' education and protection (see below). Protected waters are very small (less than 1%) compared to 12% of land area. A highly protected ocean reserve is a sea area that protects native biodiversity, or more generally does not interfere with a minimum amount of human beings that will restore it to a more natural state. In Europe, there are few marine protected areas, they are small, almost all in the Mediterranean. There are many marine protected areas (MPAs) in Europe, but these areas have few additional regulations and planning procedures, but they do not fully protect marine biodiversity.
